Amber Hood is an international, professional Lighting Designer and Production Manager. Originally from California, she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Theatrical Lighting Design in 2012 from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.

For several years Amber worked in the Seattle area freelancing with companies such as The Village Theater, STG (Seattle Theater Group) and ArtsWest Playhouse. She even received a “Broadway World” nomination for her work on the North-West premiere of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson with Artswest.

Shortly there after, Amber took advantage of the opportunity to work as the Head Lighting Designer/Operator for Celebrity Cruise Lines. While working with Celebrity, Amber was required to present and design a different full length and spectacular show every evening. As head of her department, she was also in charge of all theatrical and architectural lighting on board, as well as the operation and upkeep of three professional “Vegas Style” productions. Amber also had the opportunity to perform the duties of the Production and Stage Manager while working with Celebrity Cruise Lines. Responsible for all daily operations as well as the oversight of more then 60 entertainment professionals and their daily activities, Amber became the main liaison for the Miami Head Office and was responsible for maintaining the highest quality entertainment standards at sea.

In December of 2015 Amber moved to Montréal, and in December of 2017 became an official Canadian Permanent Resident. She now holds the ability to work freely throughout Canada, as well as the United States.
